Tangos 1 Elementary School marked the end of the elementary education journey for Batch 2024–2025 with a heartfelt graduation ceremony held today, April 14, 2025, 9 A.M. at TES-1 school grounds. The celebration, carrying the theme “Henerasyon ng Pagkakaisa: Kaagapay sa Bagong Pilipinas,” was attended by 224 graduates, along with their proud parents, faculty, and staff. The program opened with a processional march of the graduates alongside their parents, followed by the teachers and staff of TES-1. The ceremony commenced with an invocation prayer led by Gayle Khriszea T. Faustino, With Honors, from Section Einstein. This was followed by the Philippine National Anthem by Mr. Leo P. Parado, the Navotas Hymn led by Mrs. Levy T. Dela Cruz, and the opening song Today My Life Begins conducted by Mr. Raymond Bautista. Rashaun N. Dasmariñas led his fellow graduates in the recitation of the Oath of Loyalty. Faustino also received the JRT Leadership Award in recognition of her exemplary service as SELG President. The presentation of candidates and confirmation of graduates were conducted by School Principal Mrs. Jasmin L. Senson and confirmed by OIC–Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Aldrin G. Corpin, who officially affirmed that all students had met the requirements for completion. The event was also graced by CID Chief Dr. Marco D. Meduranda, Education Program Supervisor in ESP Preciosa Cabinbin, and Public Schools District Supervisor Fresnedi Natividad. Representatives from the City Government of Navotas, led by Congressman Tobias Reynald M. Tiangco and several city councilors, also attended the event and extended their heartfelt congratulations to the graduates. It was a memorable day filled with pride and celebration, as the graduates took their first steps toward a brighter future—truly embodying the spirit of unity and hope for a Bagong Pilipinas. The ceremony concluded with the singing of Panibagong Bukas led by Mrs. Jenelyn Rose DS. Graduating class of Tangos 1 Elementary School gathered yesterday, April 4 at San Roque De Navotas Church for their Baccalaureate Mass, marking a spiritual send-off as they close their elementary journey. The ceremony was attended by Grade 6 students from sections Einstein, Aristotle, Newton, Galilei, Socrates, and Copernicus, along with their advisers and subject teachers. Tangos 1 Elementary School recently held the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) Election for the School Year 2025-2026. The highly anticipated event took place on February 21, 2025, and saw enthusiastic participation from students in Grades 2 to 6. Each classroom was converted into a voting precinct, where pupils cast their ballots for candidates representing two contesting parties: Partidong Students Promoting Achievements, Responsibility and Knowledge (S.P.A.R.K) and Partidong Students Motivation, Intelligence, Leadership Empowerment (S.M.I.L.E).   With classes shortened on election day, the voting was organized into two sessions. The morning session ran from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by the afternoon session from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Approximately 500 pupils participated in the voting process, using the school’s official ballots to select their preferred candidates for various positions in the student government.   The election process was organized by Beatriz Albos, the Supreme Pupil Government (SPG) Adviser, who led the formation of the two party. Each party was represented by candidates vying for positions such as Mayor, Vice Mayor, and other key roles. Leading up to the election, the candidates participated in a room-to-room campaign, engaging with their fellow students to gather support. Each party was also allotted a designated area to display campaign materials, allowing students to learn more about their candidates and their platforms.   Prior to the election, the candidates had the opportunity to address the school during a special campaign session after the flag-raising ceremony on February 17, 2025. This allowed the candidates to share their goals and aspirations with their peers before the official voting took place.   The election closed at 4:00 p.m. sharp, and the votes were immediately counted. The eagerly awaited results were announced shortly thereafter, revealing the new SELG officers for the School Year 2025-2026.   The newly elected officers are as follows: President: Prince Paulcris Mariano Vice President: Kael Nathan Solayao Secretary: Aeyumie Delos Reyes Treasurer: Faith Fernandez Auditor: Shayden Gabriel Ilusorio Public Information Officer (P.I.O): Rheanna Kidange Protocol Officer: Hanz Bautista Grade Representatives: Grade 3: Yuwan Kent Fitalvo Grade 4: Grazielle Naval Grade 5: Ashley Kate Mag-Ugat Grade 6: Morraine Caisip   Following the election, the new officers took their oaths of office in a formal ceremony held on February 26, 2025, at the office of the school principal, Jasmin L. Senson. The oath-taking ceremony marked the official start of their leadership roles, with the students pledging to serve their fellow student and work towards enhancing the school community during their term.   The SELG Election at Tangos 1 Elementary School was a true testament to the students’ commitment to leadership, responsibility, and civic engagement.
